Check whether an app password is available
Google app passwords require 2-Step Verification. The option may be unavailable for managed accounts, Advanced Protection or accounts configured with security keys only. For a work or school mailbox, ask the administrator about permitted access.
Set up and test
- If Google permits an app password for your account, create one for the mail app.
- Add the full Gmail address to Postosha using your provider-approved method. Use Google’s current server settings when entering them manually.
- Test receiving, sending, an attachment and reconnection after restarting.
If your account requires OAuth
If Google requires OAuth sign-in and that option is unavailable in your Postosha setup, ask your administrator about an approved mail client. Keep your account protection enabled; do not bypass the policy to connect.
