What a PIN protects
Choose a four- or six-digit PIN for the whole app or individual accounts. Protected-account notifications hide sender, subject and message text. A PIN restricts interface access; it does not encrypt the entire cache or replace Windows account and disk protection.
Connections and message content
Mail connections use TLS with certificate validation. HTML is sanitised and shown in an isolated interface area. These protections do not replace antivirus or careful handling of links and files. External images and icons can cause additional network requests.
Statistics and developer access
Message content, attachments and mailbox passwords are not uploaded to Postosha servers for mail processing. Basic statistics count installations and activity. Extended statistics require separate consent and contain technical information and usage counts, not addresses, contacts, message content or search queries.
Turn statistics off
Disable statistics in general settings. New reports stop and the app requests deletion of previously collected installation information when online. Statistics use a random installation identifier rather than your email address.
Update signatures and Windows publisher identity
Postosha checks signed update information and the downloaded file’s checksum. Windows checks the installer’s publisher signature separately. If you see an unknown-publisher warning, check the download source and keep Windows protection enabled.
