Reconnect your existing address

  1. Check your provider’s current authentication and server requirements.
  2. Add the mailbox to Postosha and wait for its folders.
  3. Test receiving, sending, attachments and reconnecting after restart.
  4. If desired, use Postosha and Windows settings to assign mailto: links to the app.

Reconnection is not archive import

Mail stored on the server becomes available after connecting. Local-only messages, contacts and calendar events are not transferred by adding an account. Save important local information separately first.

Microsoft accounts need an authentication check

Do not assume Outlook.com or Microsoft 365 accepts an ordinary password: modern authentication requirements apply. Changing mail apps does not bypass your provider’s policy.
